GCPS CEO/Superintendent J. Alvin Wilbanks to Present Annual State of the School System Address

In leading the state’s largest school district, CEO/Superintendent J. Alvin Wilbanks is dedicated to ensuring that every student is prepared for the future by receiving a quality and effective education. GCPS provides an instructional program that is based on achieving world-class standards because that is what is required in preparing Gwinnett’s future workforce. For the coming year, the district’s focus will be on implementing the Board of Education’s strategy for improving student achievement in every school, and on making GCPS a coherent organization that is capable of sustaining that improvement strategy.

Chamber Kicks Off "Casino Royale" Membership & Sponsorship Campaign

The Chamber kicked off its 2008 Membership & Sponsorship Campaign on Thursday, August 14 in the John D. Stephens Education Center at the Gwinnett Chamber. The crowds enjoyed a Casino Night (everyone received $3000 in play money) and rocked to James Bond theme music and enjoyed Bar-B-Q provided by Jim & Nick's.
