Gwinnett Student Leadership Program

The mission of GSLT is to identify and develop young leaders within the Gwinnett community who have demonstrated leadership skills, an emerging civic sense, and a willingness to serve their community.

GSLT is a program for juniors and seniors in Gwinnett County and Buford City Schools. GSLT provides an opportunity for students to develop an awareness and understanding of the issues facing the community in which they live.

The program for juniors and seniors includes service projects, along with serving on the Youth Advisory Council and the opportunity to participate in some Chamber of Commerce events.

Notable Accomplishments of the Gwinnett Student Leadership Team:

• Over 14,000 hours of community volunteerism (1997-2002)
• Habitat for Humanity House fundraising ($52,000)
• 20,000 books donated for day care centers and preschools
