Drugs Don’t Work
Save up to 7.5 percent on workers’ compensation premiums while setting up a drug-free workplace! This program’s mission is to educate Gwinnett County employers about the prevention, intervention and elimination of substance abuse in the workplace. 770-232-8816
Economic Development
This department encourages the expansion of existing businesses through information services, real estate assistance, tax and incentive assistance, labor assistance and initiatives such as Partnership Gwinnett while continuing to solicit and provide services to new commercial and industrial businesses in Gwinnett. Entrepreneurial Development Certificate Program
The Entrepreneurial Development Certificate Program is hosted in conjunction with the University of Georgia’s Small Business Development Center that brings leading professionals and emerging business owners together during an eight-week course. The curriculum is designed to prepare entrepreneurs with information resources and techniques to operate a business successfully. The curriculum incorporates marketing, finance, legal issues, personnel and management, accounting, taxes, business planning development, international business and procurement, and concludes with a graduation. 678-584-2270
Executive Roundtables
These groups serve as an exclusive association of dynamic business leaders designed to build business knowledge and increase their productivity and profitability. They provide confidential peer group forums for entrepreneurs, executives and business owners to discuss business issues, exchange ideas, offer suggestions and share expertise in a structured setting. GLOW: Gwinnett's Leadership Organization for Women
The mission of GLOW is to assist in the success of business women within the community. The series, helps women to become more competitive in the business arena, establish a network of business contacts and address areas of personal and professional growth, by learning from accoplished women who are making an impact. Government Relations
This program fosters communication between the Chamber and elected officials from the local, state, and national levels to support legislation that is pro-business and pro-Gwinnett. Gwinnett Healthcare Council
This is metro-Atlanta’s premier Chamber-based networking and educational initiative for healthcare professionals and their service providers. This is an exclusive and prestigious program that provides a diverse group of existing and emerging leaders with a unique opportunity to experience many of the challenges facing Gwinnett. It is a nine-month program that includes seven one-day sessions, two retreats and more. Principal for a Day
Principal for a Day is a joint venture of the Gwinnett County Board of Education and the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. Its objective is to provide CEO-level business leaders a firsthand, authentic look at the operations of today’s schools and the principals who lead them. State Capitol Legislative Luncheon
This annual event provides members and the business community with the unique opportunity to sit down and meet with the state legislators and leaders over lunch in an informal setting at the State Capitol.
State of the County Address
This annual luncheon co-hosted by the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and the Council for Quality Growth is an overview on the County’s efforts in economic development, revitalization, public safety, and transportation.
