Gwinnett is home to two full-service health and human services centers. Great examples of the benefits of teamwork, the agencies at these centers have access to joint training for staff, case consultation, special events such as health and job fairs, conference rooms and office space. The idea for the Human Services Centers originated from the Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services’ strategic plan, which called for collaboration among agencies, allowing for more effective service to common clients. The ultimate result is helping families and individuals become independent and self-sufficient.
The Buford Human Services Center, located at 2755 Sawnee Avenue, opened its doors in March 1997. It provides permanent office space for three agencies. For more information, contact the center at 770-614-2526 or any of the agencies listed below:

The Norcross Human Services Center (NHSC) is an effort by Gwinnett County to create a true “one-stop” health and human service delivery system. The NHSC opened its doors in April 1998. The 54,000-square-foot facility is located at 5030 Georgia Belle Court, Norcross. Housed within the center are:

The NHSC partners with outside non-profit organizations to bring programs that benefit the community and clients of the various human service agencies.
