Governmental Relations meetings are a great opportunity for members of the Chamber to hear, see and interact with local and state elected officials as well as to track and stay abreast of current legislative issues that effect their businesses. The Chamber maintains ties and contacts on governmental issues that will impact the business community, thus offering an opportunity for a voice and involvement.


Who Belongs?

You should participate in Governmental Relations meetings if you…

  • are interested in following legislation affecting Gwinnett County
  • want to know what's happening in the region and state
  • would like to hear a variety of speakers address pressing political needs
  • want firsthand knowledge of issues facing Gwinnett and the region
  • have an interest in politics

Your Reward

By attending the Governmental Relations meetings, you'll gain direct access to legislators through hands-on tracking of pending legislation. As you foster communication between the Chamber and members of Gwinnett's legislative delegation, you'll take greater pride in our community and enjoy the results that come from working through the Chamber. Members become well-acquainted with Gwinnett legislators. When you attend the meetings, you stay updated on legislation that personally affects your business and can participate in discussion forums.


Meeting Time

Four (4) Town Hall Meetings per year / Six (6) General Meetings per year/ One (1) Candidate Forum per year.
