Drugs Don't Work

Learn how to increase productivity and reduce your company's workers' compensation premiums by 7.5% when you join. This program educates Gwinnett County employers about the prevention, intervention and elimination of substance abuse in the workplace. The program also provides the continuing education hours needed to obtain and maintain the drug free workplace certification.

 

 

 


How Do I Get Started?


Step One: Your company must have a substance abuse policy.


Step Two: Your company must conduct drug testing.

Step Four: Your company must conduct two hours of supervisor training each year.


Step Five: Your company must EITHER have an EAP (Employee Assistance Program) or, a referral list of treatment and counseling centers in your area.

 

 

What is great is that the Chamber can help you to complete each of the steps listed above. When you become a member of the Drugs Don't Work(DDW) program, you are given direct access to our DDW administrator who is here to make your path to a Drug Free Workplace an easy one!

 

 

Membership includes all of the following:

  • One-year subscription to the English version “Drug-Free @ Workplace” employee training newsletter provided by The Council On Alcohol & Drugs. These monthly newsletters meet your annual employee education requirement without incurring loss of payroll and productivity while employees stop work to attend training.  
  • Access to training videotape or DVD.  Also meets training requirement.
  • Fill-in-the-blanks substance abuse policy.  Meets all requirements of Georgia law.
  • Drug Free Workplace poster, window and/or door stickers.  Required by Georgia law.
  • Free legal advice from The Council On Alcohol & Drugs’ drug free workplace attorney.
  • Step-by-step guide and instruction sheet for completing Application for Drug Free Workplace Certificate from State Board of Worker’s Compensation.
